Obsidian purchase. What are people's thoughts on the Obsidian purchase. From the press release, it sounds like the Obsidian system has embedded the polisher within a substrate of some sort, similar to the Teres system of LRCX. Does anyone know if this is correct, and if so, how similar the Obsidian and Teres systems are? Finally, and this is just an inference from this rather sudden addition of a very different technology, this purchase would suggest that the LRCX system is doing OK in its tests at various manufacturers.
