all these numbers are barely up. Last housing data report wasn't strong; it was comparatively weak to mixed at best (housing stocks remain flat - insiders certainly aren't buying into the so-called strength). Real Estate prices remain high? Someone should tell that to the REITs. REIT reports show valuation levels droping. Fed Hawks are always pre-emptive as their motivation is clear - increase bank revenue by increasing the spread, by whatever means (they care secondarily about inflation). It should be made clear next week that the April Core CPI was an aberation - you're allowed at least one. Japan has had every chance to increase rates at least one time monthly and haven't done so. They continue to claim recession along with several Asian satelites.
