Tuesday June 1, 11:47 am Eastern Time Company Press Release Planet City Signs Distribution Agreement for ISPW SEDONA, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 1, 1999--Planet City (OTC BB:PINC) today announced that it has agreed to distribute privately held BenchMark Technologies' Integrated Software Processing Workframe (ISPW) product.
Planet City will market, sell, service and support the product, which helps large computer installations manage complex application development and delivery across the OS/390 (MVS/XA/ESA) and work station platforms.
Terry Dennis, President & CEO of Planet City, said, ''I'm thrilled to have our company represent BenchMark's ISPW product. I saw it in use at a client site and immediately saw its potential. I wish I had been able to use it during the years I was developing code. It would have saved a bunch of time and effort. ISPW provides a single interface to the majority of tasks a developer or maintenance programmer is required to do, and provides a customizable framework from which to perform the tasks. Any organization that modifies application code should take a look at this product. It's especially useful for managing the conversion tools and processes used during a company's transition activities, such as Y2K and Euro conversions.''
Said Christina McGill, President of Calgary, Canada-based BenchMark Technologies Ltd., ''We at BenchMark have been looking for a US-based business partner with the appropriate marketing knowledge and technical experience to distribute and support ISPW. A mutual customer introduced us to Mr. Dennis with the feeling we had similar business and technical philosophies. We think both our companies and our customers can benefit from our collaboration.''
ISPW is licensed on a per-seat basis. The base product ranges from $30,000 to over $500,000 depending on configuration and number of users. In addition, there are several separately priced options to support specific applications and proprietary technologies. A product description and a partial list of satisfied customers can be viewed at ispw.com.
