Thread, a request for help: What's the best way to hedge a long portfolio? I was thinking of a portfolio (eg., S&P 500) LEAP, buying a Put, at the money as a starting point. My holdings are portfolio-driven, with a bias towards techs. At this point I know the arithmetic approach, but don't know the options (pun intended) out there. Ideas would be appreciated.
