I think all these shares came from the 1997 private placement. They were bought at 50 cents so it's hard to blame some people for taking a profit. We know that all the shares weren't sold though because Chuca said he did not sell the first time so had to refile. It's doubtful that CL sold either because he recently said he was still adding to his position and had a lot more than 100K.
As far as I can remember, the only other PP was the one last February where the company raised $1M for the pilot plant. The stock was around 1.50 then so I doubt if the PP shares went for much below that.
