Hi Arthur,
The very first free beta versions of Cinemail were available for download in late 1997.
You better get your facts straight, Arthur. CineMail was marketed via e-mail spamming in March, 97. For an example of the spam e-mail, check out x36.deja.com[ST_rn=ps]/getdoc.xp?AN=225235908&CONTEXT=928264303.1744830500&hitnum=10
This was not a free beta version, as James Musgrave wanted to find out how to crack the CineMail activation key in this usenet posting, dated 3/4/97: x36.deja.com[ST_rn=ps]/getdoc.xp?AN=223221175&CONTEXT=928264303.1744830500&hitnum=1
So, despite your assertions to the contrary, CineMail has been marketed and sold at least since March 97. If Baraka only had minimal revenues while aggressively marketing their product via spam e-mail, it doesn't bode well for NetCommandTech's ability to make money from this product, does it?
Regards, Craig |
