In its continuing effort to provide customers with outstanding service and
convenience, Gala-Bari International Inc., a leading on-line retailer, has
appointed Doug Reimer to the position of director of logistics.
Gala-Bari International is pleased to have attracted such a high calibre
and experienced individual as Doug Reimer. His years of experience will
strengthen Gala-Bari International's infrastructure allowing for
competitive advantages to take place. In the short time Mr. Reimer has been
with Gala-Bari, he has completed negotiations with German-based Schenker
Corp. (one of the world's largest global logistics companies) and has
initiated centralized warehousing and distribution points from Seattle,
Wash., and Minneapolis, Minn. As a result of these endeavours, Gala-Bari
International Inc. now has the ability of shipping to its customers' homes
or businesses within four days free of charge.
Mr. Reimer, a veteran of Reimer Express World Corp., brings 25 years of
transportation, logistics, operations, and packaging for high volume
shipping companies. Most recently, Mr. Reimer served as president of Quadra
Modal Transportation Systems Inc. His expertise includes management of
freight via all modes throughout the world. Mr. Reimer will be responsible
for all logistics and transportation for Gala-Bari International Inc. (VSE:
GAB), including management of procurement and distribution fulfilment.
It is the intent of Gala-Bari to effectively invest its capital in building
a solid e-commerce infrastructure. With this foundation in place it will
become easier for Gala-Bari International to establish trading partners and
attract joint venture relationships, such as the case for attracting FENDI
and the Swiss military line of high-end personal watches. |
