AOL, if they were to do a takeout of CBS, might have some startlingly different ideas about the fate of CBS's current 6 MHz channel allocations... which would be significanltly more draconian than yours.
More draconian than shutting down CBS as a television network? What might that be?

It aint gonna happen that way. Some things are too much a part of our history and culture to succum to the mighty dollar. CBS is a vital entity in the world that we know. A "national resource". Destroying it for a 6mhz frequency allocation wont happen. Period.

Now taking the spectrum meant for digital TV, thats a legitimate possibility. I still wonder if having the right to the spectrum for TV is legally (or in any other way) equivilant to having the right to use it for internet service.
