David, Interesting......My wife just returned from the food store. She was checking out behind a food stamp buyer.........and that buyer pulled out a debit card.......No stamps.....No paper......State of Idaho Social Services debit card. (account loaded each month?) Once again....Idaho must be leading the nation! My wife did ask the checker about the card...after the client had left.....and got rave reviews...easier, faster.....and so on. Did not find out if there was a PIN involved........I would think there must have been. I will get on it.......Smells like smart card stuff.......as the card seemed to interface with the grocery register list to make sure that only qualified items were allowed.......Holy Moly......talk about cleaning up the program! Cool........I'm now on top of this......and will head to the store.....get the poop....and a couple of steaks. bg
