Tom,
Now that I am a confirmed skeptic when it comes to Ancor, I went back today and reviewed the SC 13G/A documents filed with the SEC. There have been three filings (four if you count the IBM one in January). I'll concentrate on the last three.
Dale C. Showers 386,500 shares (3.7%)
Robert C. Cornelius 426,500 shares (4.1%)
Terry M. Anderson 435,000 (4.2%)
All three documents were signed on February 12, 1997, but were filed with the SEC on February 25, 1997 and March 6, 1997.
The reason for the filings was because each shareholder had dropped below 5% holdings. At first, I didn't pay much attention, since the percentages are close to 5%. But if you run the numbers, it would appear that Mr. Showers would have had to sell at LEAST 135,000 shares to get to his current level, Mr. Cornelius would have had to sell at LEAST 94,000 shares, and Mr. Anderson would have had to sell at LEAST 83,000 shares.
I am aware that these gentlemen are selling at regular intervals, but this appears to be an acceleration. (My numbers or my understanding of this filing may be wrong, so please correct me if I am in error. To arrive at these figures, I took the current shares held divided by the percentage, and multiplied that by the difference between 5% and their current percentage.)
Maybe you could ask Lee about this too.
