Hi Sam - I am inclined to agree with you totally. Additionally, if one is to watch the Taiwanese ramp up of technology infrastructures, such as the fabs and other tech centers in Southern Taiwan, one may see she is building a lot of leverages in her economies. Sure, other SE Asian countries like S Korea are also trying to leapfrog into the information age, but Taiwan is by far a standout with a major setback. Whether it is by design or by coincidence, it matters little. The point is that like HK, killing the goose for the golden egg is likely a figment of imagination in the mind of some people who are not able to see beyond the noises and posturings [unless China were to deplore the imaginary neutron bombs, which were supposed to destroy all people but left buildings undamaged. But then, who were gonna to run the clean rooms <SG>?]
