An email from BANY.
Thank you for your e-mail and continued support of Banyan. We are also pleased to hear you have profited so well in the past and look forward to sharing in future profitability with you as well.
First, let me apologize for taking so long to get back to you. I have been out of the country for the past week on vacation and have not been able to access my e-mail. Usually I am able to return messages much quicker.
In answer to your questions:
1) ANYI is the proposed trading symbol for Anything Internet Corp. Banyan owns 800,027 shares of ANYI that are currently valued at zero. ANYI has a pending registration statement with the SEC and once that is declared "effective" will commence trading its own stock. This is a potentially huge asset on BANY's books.
2) The next earnings will be released about 6 weeks after the quarter, which ends June 30. We cannot comment on the quarter currently in progress, especially considering BANY filed a Form 10-SB with the SEC just a few weeks ago. I can say everyone is very upbeat about the Company and its future.
3) BANY will continue pursuing OEM and military type contracts. I cannot say when the next one will be awarded, but the primary reason Dell has chosen to use our cases is to pursue military type contracts. Dell is currently bidding several contracts, but we do not know when and if they will be successful.
4) BANY is focusing on building itself as a provider of cases and, soon, other PC and notebook accessory products. The key is low-tech, high-margin products. BANY has several new products under development/tooling and will be announcing those when they are ready for market. As far as an i-play, BANY simply is an investor in Anything Internet Corp. BANY will sell as many products it can via the web, but it is not being branded an i-play.
5) We are currently one of the leading providers of hard-side cases. The market is dominated by soft-side cases, but we have some new products on the drawing board that will offer the look and feel consumers have come to enjoy with their soft-sided bags, but offer the protection of our hard-sided cases. So, yes, we would very much like to dominate the market and working towards that goal.
I hope this helps answer your questions. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,J. Scott Sitra
