FWIW, I have a working hypothesis that great commercials and print ads are contrarian indicators that the stock is about to stink up the place. So far, no hard correlation, except as Exhibit "A" may I point to Iridium, which had the best ads I have seen in a while, and Sony and Phillips, which both tanked shortly after I bought them, dazzled by their great ads. This hypothesis does not apply to consumer goods, e.g., Coke, VW, Nike. Come to think of it, maybe it should?
