I just spoke to Karen Schweikher in IR at Ampex. The annual shareholders meeting will be on May 16th in San Francisco at the Westin St. Francis Hotel. The meeting that Ampex will be attending on March 26 is the first day of a two-day conference co-sponsored by Red Chip Review and AMEX. The first day is for institutions, the second day is for retail brokers. Ampex will be one of a number of companies presenting on "institution day." The CFO, Craig McKibbon (sp?), will be the speaker from Ampex. According to Karen, he will probably give a quick overview of where the company is, provide some general comments on where the company is heading, and will field some Q&A. Total time each company will have to present information and field Q&A will probably be on the order of 45 min. Karen led me to believe that no information that we "don't already know" will be presented at the conference. Thanks James, Gus and most everyone else for the insightful posts. Will post again if I can add any new info or insights. 'till then, I'll be lurking ..... Long on Ampex .... got in in the 6's. acv
