Anindo: As you know, Amazon doesn't report a total auction count in the way ebay does, so it is harder to track. I have been keeping records on them for a few months, tracking counts on popular keywords and item categories. It appears that Amazon auction counts are up marginally (5 to 10 percent) from a month ago, which was pretty flat with the month before. I would guess they have around 50,000 to 60,000 auctions active at any point in time.
