PARSIPPANY, NJ - April 2, 1997 - Dialogic Corporation (NASDAQ:DLGC), the world's
leading manufacturer of standards-based computer telephony (CT) components, announced
today that it has started shipping Lernout & Hauspie's (NASDAQ: LHSP) asr1500/T
Phonetic-based Speech Recognition technology on Antares™ for SCO OpenServer,
adding to the already extensive selection of innovative speech products running on its
Antares™ DSP (Digital Signal Processing) speech platform.

The integration of L&H's phonetic-based speech recognition software technology with the
premier DSP speech platform from Dialogic, has resulted in the most cost-effective ASR
solution for high density applications requiring active vocabularies of several hundreds of
words. Telephony application developers can now rapidly build, scale and deploy
voice-driven auto-attendants, personal assistants, call center navigation menus and
voicemail command and control sets. And since the asr1500/T supports seven languages, a
single system can be shipped to multiple international markets.

"Lernout & Hauspie's ASR on Antares is truly a versatile solution that is among the most
cost competitive in the marketplace." said Peter Gantchev, product marketing manager at
Dialogic Corporation. "Yet, here economy is achieved with no compromises; Such advanced
features as phonetic recognition capabilities, vocabulary builder tools, confidence
measures, grammar spotting, key word isolation and support for the major European
languages are all standard. We develop features that allow our customers to consistently
minimize their time-to-market with leading edge speech enabled applications."

"With Antares, Dialogic has provided CT developers a common platform for integrating L&H
speech recognition, text-to-speech, and speech compression into their applications." said
Erik Tarkiainen, director of product marketing at L&H. "In addition, with support for up to
twelve L&H recognizers per board, or even six channels of L&H recognition and six
channels of L&H text-to-speech, Antares represents a powerful and flexible platform for a
wide range of CT applications."

"The announcement of Dialogic and L&H is key to our view of the marketplace and how
speech applications will be developed and deployed." said Joe Yaworski general manager of
Unisys' Natural Language Program. "Dialogic and L&H are major players that can now
deliver the infrastructure pieces for scaleable speech applications in a variety of computer
telephony platforms. We are excited because this will allow us to provide the rest of the
environment required for creating sophisticated spoken language applications in these
platforms. The marketplace now has the ability to take a major leap forward in the rate of
speech application deployments."

About L&H ASR
L&H asr1500/T technology on Antares will support twelve simultaneous channels of speaker
independent continuous speech recognition per Antares 2000/50 boards, delivers high
recognition accuracy for active vocabularies of hundreds of words, and includes a powerful
lexicon building tool (or Lextool) to create custom vocabularies. L&H asr1500/T is also
shipped with a Grammar Compiler that permits developers to create special user-defined
grammars such as natural numbers for phone numbers, serial numbers and currency
amounts. Furthermore, to maximize recognition accuracy, telephony developers can tailor
the recognition mode of the L&H package to fit the speech application at hand by specifying
such modes as isolated word recognition, keyword spotting and continuous digits. For more
information, call 1-888-Lernout or visit L&H's World Wide Web site at lhs.com.
