Everyone is assuming there are 14+m shares short. How, How DOES ANYONE KNOW??

G-man...only the transfer agent can verify a short position, by comparing the true outstanding to the total in cert and street name. Anyone who says they can look at a print, and say, conclusively, that it is a short, is merely just guessing.
