IP/ATM players will want Lightera products soon. www3.techstocks.com I saw this article yesterday and it was an eye opener if true. In addition to the comment regarding the engineering challenge at switching speeds above 2.5 gigs, it was stated that CSCO tanked a major product and is obviously being forced into photonic switching a lot quicker than they wanted to do so. This could be a watershed issue for CSCO.
