CLICK2SEND.COM SELECTS ABOVENET TO HOST ONLINE FILE DELIVERY SERVICE
Global One-Hop Network Provides Speed, Reliability and Scalability
For Web-Wide Application Service
SAN JOSE, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- AboveNet Communications (Nasdaq: ABOV), the leading architect of a global one-hop network that brings together high-bandwidth content sites, ISPs, and Application Service Providers (ASPs) in centralized co-location facilities, today announced an agreement with click2send.com, Inc., the online file delivery experts. With this agreement, click2send will operate the servers for its Web-based file delivery service from AboveNet's San Jose-based Internet Service Exchange (ISX) to help ensure that business-critical files can be sent to recipients quickly and reliably.

The click2send/AboveNet agreement utilizes the power of the Internet by enabling professionals in Fortune 1000 and SMB (small and medium business) companies to send presentations, spreadsheets and video clips via the Internet at no cost, without any proprietary software.

"Web-based applications such as click2send offer companies the ability to focus their efforts on growing the businesses rather than managing the IT resources," said Charlene Steele Vaughn, CEO of click2send.com. "Delivering reliable, fast and easy-to-use business-critical applications such as click2send on a Web-wide scale requires powerful network support and high bandwidth. AboveNet's outstanding technology and understanding of the outsourced applications market make it a key click2send business partner."

The agreement with click2send is among the first in a series of AboveNet partnerships with Application Service Providers' growing category of companies moving applications from the desktop to the Internet. In addition to providing a superior network architecture to support these applications, AboveNet is committed to promoting the growth of the Web-based application market.

"AboveNet offers innovative companies like click2send the supportive environment as well as the world-class infrastructure needed to jump-start a successful new business on the Internet," said David Dembitz, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for AboveNet. "With this very special combination, companies can bring their value to the marketplace and stake their leadership position."
