MAO is not related to magnet design although the nuances may be related to it. The magnet mainly establishes a magnetic field which is homogeneous. That's it. The open and the tube designs vary by the directions of the field which carry with them complications and idiosyncracies. Electronics and software is the trick in most advances. BTW, confirmed with Siemens that they have 51% of Oxford and have for a few years now. FWIW.
