to me, it has been awhile, but look at it this way if your portfolio is 10,000 you lost 10% yesterday, which is 1,000 and now you only have 9,000 you lose 10% today, which is 900 and that is only 9% of your original 10,000 ... so everyday that you lose, actually you lose less the 10% you lose today is actually only 9% ...
