Rob, I have no idea when it was decided. My only point was that there is a loooong list of company's that have had their logistical problems get worse, not better, the first few months after an SAP deployment was made.

This is not trivial stuff, its not a flexible application and it requires a huge investment to get working productively. My personal opinion is that most company's buy into SAP at the executive level(because SAP tells a great story) and force it down the throats of the people who have to deploy and use it. The nightmare stories are endless on this product.

BTW, its also a very antiquated software architecture that's not very conducive to e-business.
