Ian: Again, I ask, give me a constructive critique of my posts, not a cheap shot putdown. I don't think you are capable of intelligently responding to anyone. Your responses tend to run from the obnoxious to the absurd.

I don't want to get into a semantic argument about what constitutes Operating Earnings because Newbridge obviously has a different way of interpreting what it means. Take a look at the way Newbridge defines Operating Earnings on the Income Statement and you will see that they have included restructuring charges in past quarters. What this boils down to is one fact -- in the May 4 press release, they said they would EARN US 12 cents to 14 cents per share, the fact is they had a LOSS of US 11 cents per share. In other words, they mislead investors once again. They made no mention of a restructuring charge. Do you think $74 million is a trivial sum of money? How many more such restructuring charges can be expected this fiscal year?

P.S. I find it laughable that you would take comfort in Lutz saying that Newbridge will exceed reduced earnings expectations by five cents per share this year. They can't even correctly predict earnings two weeks before the end of a quarter and now were suppose to believe they can predict earnings looking out over four quarters, despite all the operational problems facing them. Hahahahahahahaha.
