RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage day to day Fund operations, Fund accounting and financial
reporting, ensuring compliance with tax and related regulatory requirements. Ensure
compliance with procedures. Provide training and guidance to Fund Adminsitrators.
Maintain current knowledge of related Fund requirements in terms of disclosures,
accounting, tax changes, capitol gains, etc. Make recommendations for policy, procedure
and rule changes. Establish internal control procedures. Submit guidelines, procedures and
policies for Senior Management or Board Approval. Overall responsible for the training and
Staff Development of the Fund Administrators and Manager of the department.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics. MBA or
CPA desirable but not required. Ten plus years direct experience administering Mutual
Funds, to include fund accounting, financial reporting, tax and operational experience.
Thorough knowledge of Regulation SX, GAAP, Subchapter M, including complex
instruments and transations, such as MBS, Futures, Swaps, Securities Lending, Borowing,
etc. Thorough knowledge of 1933, 1934, and 1940 Acts, Investment Advisor Act of 1940,
complex IRS fund compliance issues. Strong project management skills. Strong written and
oral communications skills.
