Acrodyne Industries Receives First Quarter International Orders in Excess of $1 Million
BLUE BELL, Penn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 2, 1999--The international contracts for the first quarter of 1999 have once again been strong across all Acrodyne product lines enhancing our presence as a supplier of high quality television transmitters. Some of Acrodyne's recent international projects are:
Kenya, Royal Media Services, Limited., a privately owned company with headquarters in Nairobi, awarded Acrodyne contracts for four complete 1kW systems, including the transmitters, antennas, transmission lines, FM transmitters, and paging systems. The transmitters, TLU/1KE, are solid-state UHF television transmitters for PAL-G in mono sound and include Type E modulators, and dual super linear Class AB 650 Watt amplifiers. The systems have been installed and operating for several months.
China, Mid-America Resources, based in Sugar Land, TX, purchased a TRH/10KM VHF solid-state transmitter, Band III. The transmitter features a combined 10kW vision, 1kW sound power output and includes one VHF 1W TV exciter for PAL-D mono sound. The order also includes factory training for four engineers. This transmitter will be installed in Kai Feng, China and is scheduled for delivery this Spring.
Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Rupavahini contracted with Acrodyne for a TRU/5K UHF solid state television transmitter for PAL-G, with dual carrier sound. Acrodyne will also provide factory training for three personnel of Sri Lanka Rupavahini. The transmitter has been delivered to the customer and installation is scheduled for June. Acrodyne has already provided six transmitters to this customer within the past few years.
Tanzania, Pro Line Engineering Services, Ltd., based in Israel, has purchased a 10kW solid state VHF television transmitter for Band III, with 10kW vision, 1kW sound power output. The equipment includes two VHF Band III TV exciters with automatic switchover and equipped for PAL System I mono sound. Field engineering turn on services and training will be done on site in Tanzania in August.
