NO, you really jump to incomplete conclusions fast.... The Japanese decided many years ago to try to isolate their cellular business by reversing the transmit and recieve frequencies from the rest of hte world (to protect themselves against Moto invading them). This way, only they could build phones for thier market. Great idea if your market is the largest in the world (as it was in 1990), but it makes a mess if you take today when you have alot of phones in country but can't export them to anywhere else because of this. The original phones in Japan used the MSM2300 and they shipped almost 4M into there. The MSM3000 is the next generation and they have shipped 1M as of LAST QUARTER. They can and will make phones for export, but the problem is they need to redesign the whole RF chain to reverse the TX and RX back to the US standard. ( I guess everyone is in a funk on this 7th down day in a row...not so much QC, but the whole market in general....)
