Jim, yes, gas in CA has come down, but no where near the low prices of the past few months. In my area they are still in the high 1.40 to low 1.50 cents per gallon range. I believe the national average is in the area of 1.12. Interesting, just yesterday, the airlines upped their fares, while fuel prices are dropping. They credit the vacation travel demands as the reason for the fare increase. Yes, wage inflation is a major area of concern...this one has a major impact on businesses. I heard Rubin's comments. The way he said inflation is not a concern left me a little uncertain. IMO, he just seemed to pass over the topic with as few words as possible. Oh well, I'm sure its just my paranoid showing. Market in the tank again...new home sales at record highs, and everyone awaiting Greenspan's speech. Stock Bull
