>>Ok, flame me crispy. :-)<<
Ok, here goes!
What the heck is the matter with an old-fashioned station wagon?? If they don't make them any more, buy an antique. It will be a lot cheaper than a "Suburban", which I presume is a SUV trying to pass as a station wagon by appropriating a typical station wagon name.
And don't give me that guff about tinted windows cutting down on the heat. What's the matter with air-conditioning?? So, it's more expensive than tinted windows, but if you are prepared to blow a wad on a ridiculous behemoth, you can afford to pay a little extra.
Your babies may be safe -- but what about other drivers on the road? They may also be transporting babies! Your tinted windows are a serious menace to them.
Personally, I always switch lanes when I find myself behind one of these self-indulgent, self-centered monster domestic trucks -- even when that means switching into the slower lane. Otherwise, I might be overcome with an irresistible attack of road rage. I kid you not.

Edit: P.S. On taking a second look at your post, I note that This Thing you plan to buy has three-zone AC, so all the more reason to forego the tinted windows. BTW, my pre-Taurus Ford was a big ole station wagon (forgotten its name), and had just as much room in it as any SUV I have ever clambered into (cursing, of course). It was just lower to the ground |
