Don't forget the extra pads on the die as well. You may have to grow the die just to accommodate the pads. At test you're going to have to buy testers with all those extra channels as well. The MB will have lots more traces. The cost adds up. Re: "Thirdly why is Intel hell bent on supporting RDRAM solely and not supporting both and letting the market decide." Don't know. EP
