Maybe I'm not the standard buyer, but I bought the ATT one-rate plan and it was a NOKIA phone that came with it. It could have been any brand phone and I would not have cared. I was not a savvy enough buyer to see any difference between the hardware available. My main concern was plan #1 and battery life#2. I bought the lithium long life battery as an extra. No Qualcomm phones were even available at this ATT Center or I would have bought one because I am long QCOM. I am long QCOM because of the CDMA standard not because of their handset technology. I'm sure they will get their piece of this business but I think unless there is some profoundly significant difference between the phones available, most people will settle with buying the best plan and choose from the phones offered at that center. IMHO, FWIW LJM
