Actually i wish i hadn't said that about 'scarey language' - read it again and only the 'bonanza' word sticks out, and looking at the grades it would be hard to find another word to use to describe them. I still haven't bought any, but will continue to watch.

Santa Cruz province is the southernmost in mainland Argentina, from around 46 to 52 degrees south latitude. The Andes aren't so tall there as there are in Jujuy, Salta and Catamarca, and so wouldn't provide the same rain shadow effect at all, i expect.
