M2: I know you are making fun of me, but I have seen both of those theories in action many times and they work amazingly well. An obvious case in point was the rally from last year's October 8th low. As soon as that confirmation day happened, the market took off. I agree with your inflation assessment, but perception rules here. I think your sector picks are right on though. Greenspan is cracking jokes. He said that he can't wait to hear what he has to say and that, looking at the program, he sees that some guy is going to analyze what he said, and he can't wait to hear him so that he can find out what it is that he actually said.
