This issue is exactly where I get lost in today's environment. If the distribution plant is all crosstalked up, then going to a CLEC which has leased access from the same ILEC provider seems like it really is not a competitive choice at all. Another comment mentioned was a loss of priority for dial up customers. It is my view that the always on server customer will have a defacto advantage over any dial up (PPP type) service. When ADSL becomes more widespread, then this problem will become more exacerbated, causing more ADSL service demand ya da ya da ya da. Any comments on my observations?
