Jim, not sure what you mean by Sony not offering its Giga Pocket software. It appears it will be included on there two PC offerings which would be Win98 as are all Sony's PC offerings.

Regarding QT as an OS for Nintendo. Interesting, but I would think that Nintendo and Matsushita need a mature OS right now to meet their schedule. QT doesn't strike me as containing full attributes of an OS even though used for multimedia production. I'm not clear on QT's role in game production although I believe QT had a role in the original Myst didn't it. I'm sure someone else has that info in hand.

In 1999 Apple has to depend on its boxes for earnings. Its software offerings are a small portion thus far. If Apple can sustain growth with its boxes thru 2000-2001 then I think we may see some interesting developments with things like QT, OS X and OS X server. But this year, it's hardware. Rich
