Sniff sniff, what's that horrible odour, I mean besides smithy's upper lip? Wait I recognize it, it's more of the ZSUN story leaking out. As usual I have francoise to thank, if he hadn't posted the update to the Momentum Plus website I would have never started off on the thought process that led me to find what i've found. At the Momentum Plus site I clicked on clients and was greeted with an ever growing list of web sites. One of course that caught my eye was www.f1plus.com which purported to be something to do with Formula 1 auto racing. A quick glance at the site showed that while it was nice looking, it has no substance. There was nothing there except links to other sites and information that one could copy out of any pre-season press guide. Of course it did have a big Swifttrade banner ad, but to generate revenue from a banner you first have to get people to your site. How's anyone going to find the F1 site? I also noticed that on this site, like other ZSUN sites, there's no web counter to show just how few hits these sites get. I of course wondered who would go to the trouble of putting such a site together. A little register.com action quickly showed that it was Momentum itself that owned the site. Strange, they registered it in the offshore tax haven of Tortola, British Virgin Islands where of course Momentum is incorporated, instead of in Hong Kong where the office is, and where they purport to conduct day to day business. Timeout while I bust on Momentum a second. Hey guys, what next? cricket? soccer? maybe a table tennis site? Now back on the trail. This got me to wondering how many more of these wonderful sites listed were really just put together by Momentum, just window dressing. There is of course Amber Capital, that for some strange reason has let Momentum register it's domain name, again in Tortola. This is never ever done. A domain name is a very valuable piece of a company these days, to let someone else sign it up is to invite trouble. No matter how much you trust them, you register it in your name, and then you let them put it on whatever server you want, but it's always in your name. Next I looked at Almiranta. It is registered to Stuart Allen. Stuart is obviously no fool, he's protecting his asset. Also on the listing as the technical contact is Graham Daley. The name sounded familiar and so I did a search for it both on this thread and on the net in general. I quickly was refreshed of memory by this thread that Graham was Momentums technology dude. You remember Graham, used to have his picture as well as that of his wife Angel on the site, until it was pointed out, now it's gone. In fact all of the directors of Momentum used to have a blurb or two, but it's all been pulled. A lesson to you young sleuth's out there, if it looks like it might be anything you'll need in the future, save it to the hard drive. Fortunately the headers to these pages are still stuck in some search engines. So anyway from my general search of the net on Grahams name, I came across a law case... cyber.law.harvard.edu In which Playboy sued a company named ASIAFOCUS INTERNATIONAL, INC., naming Graham Daley and Alan Smith as defendants. It basically boils down to Asiafocus having a couple of porn sites ASIAN-PLAYMATES.COM and PLAYMATES-ASIAN.COM that Playboy felt violated it's trademarked "Playmate" name. Worse still the websites included the words "playmate" and "playboy"(also trademarked) in it's web page metatags insuring that many search engines would list them when one did a search for these words. Playboy of course won the case. I have an out of date link to this on the Playboy site, and for further proof do a whois on the domains in question and you'll see that they are now registered to Playboy Enterprises. Maybe the Truthseeker could find a working link to the decision in this case. They were suing for millions, how much they won I do not know.(edit, I read on through the Harvard Law web page and it says Playboy was awarded the amount of $3 million) (double edit news.com Ok, I know what your thinking, couldn't be our kid Graham running a couple of internet porn sites. Well it did happen to mention in the lawsuit that the Graham in question is a citizen of Hong Kong and that Asiafocus is a company with it's principal place of business either in Hong Kong or the British Virgin Islands.(sound familiar) More from Graham math-www.uni-paderborn.de here he's shown on the "Blacklist of Internet Advertisers" for spamming an offer to get you in on the Hong Kong lottery. The next link I checked out for "Graham Daley" was tdc.org.hk Here, he is listed as the Technical Director for Momentum Campaigns Limited. I take it this is just another name for Momentum Internet since if you look at the bottom of this link... hastings-hk.com You'll see that the web site is designed and produced by "Momentum Campaigns" and links to Momentum Internet. Also I have a now out of date link momentum-hk.com The summary for this on Alta Vista(http://www.altavista.com/cgi-bin/query?pg=q&q=%22graham+daley%22&stq=10&c9k) says Anthony L Tobin. Jack Lindsay. Graham Daley. Ray Chung. momentum campaigns ltd 17/F, 53 - 55 Lockhart Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong Tel: (852) 2877 8011 Fax:... So apparently Graham Daley is a director at Momentum Campaigns. So? So a quick search of Momentum Campaigns turns up the following. newsbureau.com This is a fluff piece about how Pacific Continental Securities Corporation is going online and has chosen Momentum Campaigns to do their website www.usinvest.com. The site is currently not working, but is registered to Graham Daley. Also in this article you see that a man by the name of Jack W. Flader, Jr is listed as a director of Momentum Campaigns. A search of his name turns up, offshore.com.hk Yes Jack is a principal in a company that helps set up offshore corporations. How convenient. Of course when Jacks not busy with that, or being a Momentum Director or just a regular ol lawyer and man about town he likes to spend his time spamming. archives.isp-marketing.com In that message we can see Jack send spam mail to an ISP trying to get them to sign up for Pinmail. The really interesting part is that he mentions his title as Director of Asiafocus International. Now I know it's been a few paragraphs, but surely you remember that Asiafocus International was the porno web company succesfully sued by Playboy. This just keeps getting better. Gee I wonder if I were to "go after" Microsoft as was suggested by one of the cranial capacity challenged posters on this thread, if I would find that two of it's directors were involved in an illegal internet porn site? Somehow I doubt it. Caveat Emptor Mr. Burns |
