I bought a few thousand extra shares of EDIG on margin last week; fortunately the stock (COMS) that allowed me the margin hasn't tanked. Others may have bought using other marginable stocks that didn't fare so well this week. So margin calls might be forcing sales of EDIG by nervous newbies who jumped in via margin buys and got pinched.
