Saving what you're doing. This requires more discipline than most people have at their disposal. I'd suggest, for those who have access to the feature, enabling 'timed saves' while they're working. I have mine set to save my stuff every 10 minutes for word processing and spreadsheets, and 5 minutes for program development. I find the interruption annoying, but losing stuff is far worse.
