Terrence history does not need to repeat itself. We are talking
about time travel here Terrence. If you are willing to stake
everything on your faith then you are no better than all those
evangelists you like to hound.

Time travel violates causality. Nothing has ever been known
to precede its cause. How can you be so ... (for the sake of
civility I have avoided what follows) as to think that to
travel back in time must be possible. This is tantamount
to asking for immortality. Sure we can now fly then again
birds have been doing for quite a while. Your comparison
is no good. Why don't you compare to the search for el dorado
or the search for transmutation into gold of every element thru
the use of alchemy and you will be much closer to the mark.
But even that is different. But really to be so sure that
it is going to come about is just madness. And even if I was
willing to postulate that it might be possible one day
I am no willing to condemn future generations to spiritual
starvation until it does.

I can not believe I am even discussing this matter with you.
