David, we will have to see how this varies from the original MAO techniques. My hunch is it is not much more than what you said, i.e. many slices in many planes. This is a nice feature--no doubt. Siemens can do it but none of my magnets can (Tosh, Philips, Picker) probably due to the patent stuff with Fonar. I am sure they will go thru this in detail. We used to be able to do this on the Toshiba but can't anymore (patents?). One problem we used to have is if any part of the image sliced through any other slice there was signal loss through the overlapping images. This will be brought up. Thanks for the reminder.
