Most "pennies" are shorted down by MM's for good reason, till they, the MM's, are convinced that something is credible with the company and continued support is shown. That does not happen in a day or two, either. They play for "Keeps" and they are pro's at it. Doesn't mean they don't react to sudden spikes, going positive for a while. Welcome to the arena. There are some survivors and fewer victors. "High Risk - High Reward." DD BTW: Happens on the big boards too. Hundreds of times a day.
