You mentioned Win98, I'm using 95. Does that make a difference?

If you want multi-monitors you need to upgrade to Win98 or NT.

Open up you computer...if you have at least one extra PCI or ISA slot you can run multi-monitors. Since it sounds like an older machine I am assuming you don't have an AGP slot (Advance Graphic Port).

Find out what video card you have by checking System tools in Win95. Give the manufacture of the card a call and find out what cards are compatible with your card. I would suggest at least an 8Meg card or if you have some money to blow (ASUS V3800TNT Riva TNT2 ULTRA AGP 32MB, TV OUT, V/ IN $375). Of course I am joking..that card is overkill.

Here is a link to most of the major card manufactures and will also give you a feel for card prices.

I have two Viper 550's (16M) and a Stealth G460 running in my machine right now. I use Win98 and don't have any problems. The only thing involved in getting another monitor running is opening the machine and slipping the card in. Win98 should see the card right and you just need to click on the multi-monitor feature. However depending on the machine you may have to change one or two things on the BIOS. I'm sure someone here could assist you.

Best Regards
KEITH
