The problem with Gilat (we owned it) is that it was a great stock at $19. This price now, and there are other satellite stocks that have more promising price potential. The market GILTF is in is not growing at all at the pace it once was-- the writer of the article is way off base on that claim-- way off.

One stock that I have looked at (but it is too small to buy) is VSAT. This company has a satellite card for access to the internet off your PC. Sounds like the same sort of market that Very Small Aperture Terminals (I am told that actually these are not terminals-- since terminals are two-way) had four years ago (when Gilat was "young"). Take a look at it. I don't own it personally, and our firm could not possible buy it given its float.

As for the comment in the article about Hughes and Loral facing "possible" criminal charges:-- hell, anything is possible. I would much prefer a journalist to step up to the plate for once and instead of using the word "possible" use the word "probable" if that's what is meant by the term "possible".

It's possible that I might be President of the United States-- but in no way probable. It's possible Hughes may face criminal charges-- is it probable?
