My older kid will turn 14 in a couple of weeks. I was looking for foreclosure sales in the paper and noticed a help wanted ad for 14 year olds. Did not realize they could work. I was 15 when I got my first job, if you don't count helping out at my father's office.

I think I should sign him up for computer programming classes, I have read in Washington Post that high school students in local area (Northern Virginia, Washington D.C. metro area) with good computer skills are earning $50 - $70 K. I need to find out what's in demand.
