Carson, hello out there somewhere. There aren't too many of us MATK shareholders. Where are you anyway? I'm here next door to MATK headquarters. Attended annual meeting today and will give brief report. Am willing to answer whatever I can for you. Matk has sent 50,000 or so letters to US doctors about their oils. Just now beginning massive campaign to educate US public about DHA. Have large media event planned in NY in April; hope to get big coverage about the advantages of their DHA. CEO highlighed first the non oil work MATK doing: --Reagents used by drug companies to develop new drugs; expect to announce new developments here this year. --fluorescent markers; said expect to license some this year --compounds for theraputics; work ongoing but nothing significant as I heard. --breath test for liver function; they are high on promise of this in association with organ transplants Moving on to progress with Formulaid, more countries just announced yesterday. More later this year, reaching 15 to 20 by year end. Preparing for their testimony on 26 March to the FDA commissioned FASEB panel on thier belief in using their product for infant formula. I hope to go to listen to it all since meeting open to public. They just returned from US west coast convention of health food industry; largest show in US for these types. Said they were VERY pleased with interest and took orders/sold much at show. Sales are already taking off on their DHA capsules; beyond their expectations. They aren't aware of any competition for their DHA except fish oil which has harmful health impact. Overall very upbeat meeting. Did you know theWorld Health Organization has already approved and RECOMMENDED use of DHA in formula. So your OBGYN should be comforted. MATK capsules are sold I believe in 100mg size which is the recommende dose. You can now get them from distributors or direct order from Martek. I am trying to get a copy of the clinical study which was done by Mead Johnson (I believe) and concluded DHA taken by pregnant women had the effect of improving children eysight by one line on the eyechart. I can't imagine FASEB panel not recommending it if this is a valid scientific trail as Martek says. By the way, the FDA approval per say to merely permit DHA use is thru a GRAS approval which is expected to be NO PROBLEM since product has proven safe in many studies. I have been very quite on TRIBY board and SI in general last 6 months as I have been busy on other things. More time now so more active posting. I didn't hear TRIBY call but still am shareholder. I'm disappointed with their management for broken promises; bad credibility. I see MATk management as much better. what do you think about MATK? Is the formula available where you are?
