Richard, Who's Andy? Is that Gonzongo? The 10-15 with 3 new high was a reference to ADX. It has nothing to do with the answer. There are some concepts about the main trend and how you can use momentums indicators to gage in on it. The answer I gave is just one of these concepts on how to gage in on the main trend. I have not done any testing with volatile stocks. I personally think testing could be misleading specially if overfitting is done. From visual inspection of many stocks I have founds these concepts to work very well. Good trading, Christopher
