Very touching story, although perhaps a more appropriate description of a long's position in AMZN would be that of a Japanese general giving a pep-talk to his troops in Hiroshima as the Enola Gay made an apparant retreat -a sharp turn and steep dive- but in reality it was just the fastest way to gain airspeed and distance before the inevitable end.
