chefs who come out to your table, arms crossed, holding their spoons and asking you how your dinner was. who is going to insult an armed man? Okay, now how about the waiters who wield the giant pepper mill? I'd like to taste first to see if I think it needs pepper and I have been using a pepper mill since childhood myself, dammit! Also this lunacy of reciting all the "specials" so that you rack your brain trying to remember what they are after you have read the menu? Especially when the "waitperson" has interrupted a conversation of importance?
