I can't see any service that charges on a per minute basis taking too much of AOL's market share.

They will take AOL marketshare with cable modem service. The dial-up service is just to give @home users access on the road.

It IS to pricey. Fortunately my company pays for my earthlink service, so I will use that on the road and ATHM at home. If I were paying for both, I would have a problem. But if I had to pay for both, I would probably be unemployed or retired. In either case I would not need frequent dialup access so I would be happy with ATHM's arrangement. I sure wouldn't give up my cable modem. No way!
