I also thought of Temic when I read this, but judging by their product line they have no presence in broadband ICs at this point. Their design expertise is strongest in the wireless area, but perhaps Atmel can apply the technology to broadband. They could make use of DCT—this application was mentioned when they made the acquisition last year: atmel.com I almost bought LU a few months after it was spun off. The stock had drifted down a bit, but I thought it was still too expensive. So I'm missing even more "should've" paper profits than you. <g> "High quality at low cost" - how does that translate to Chinese? WT
