I amagine NT will be picked up - probably by Cisco.

Nortel is bigger than Cisco, by about 2:1 in terms of revenues. A Cisco - Nortel get together would be like a merger of two oil or telecom companies. Cisco typically buys companies small fractions of what they are. The one exception was Stratacom, which they haven't done well integrating, according to the "experts" on the Cisco thread. To make a long story a little shorter than interminable, I doubt very much that Cisco does anything with Nortel.
